Have your say on substance use in Helsinki – answer a survey

All city residents over the age of 13 are encouraged to respond to the substance use survey.

Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa are mapping their residents’ views on substance use and addiction treatment options in the cities with the help of an online survey. All city residents over the age of 13 are encouraged to respond to the survey.

The questions concern alcohol, tobacco products, drugs and gambling. In addition, there are questions about possible observations of underage substance use and experiences of raising the topic of substance use in the city’s services.

The substance use survey is part of the national Pakka operating model of preventive substance abuse work. The results of the online survey will be utilised in the health and wellbeing promotion work and preventive substance abuse work of the large cities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Up-to-date information will facilitate local work aimed at reducing harms related to alcohol, tobacco and gambling. The survey results will lead to targeted further actions.

The substance use survey is available for three weeks from 26 September to 16 October 2022. The survey is conducted anonymously and confidentially. The survey is available in Finnish, in Swedish and in English.
