Bruno Granholm Square in the Konepaja area is being renovated. The works will improve drainage and lighting in and add vegetation to the square. An event switchboard will also be built on the square. Furthermore, urban furnishings will be set up on the previously built adjacent Konepajanraitti and Konepajankuja along with more vegetation.
The two existing trees in the square will be preserved, and more trees will also be planted along the edges of the square. Part of the square will be paved, but some of the existing concrete surfaces and old rails will also be left exposed.
The contractor is Louhintahiekka Oy.
Located in the Konepaja area, the square is named after Bruno Ferdinand Granholm (1857–1930), who was the chief architect of the Board of Administration of Finnish State Railways from 1892 to 1926 and designed the first buildings of the Pasila Train Factory.
