Employment grants are awarded for activities that support the strategic objectives of the City of Helsinki, as well as the priorities of the employment services. The diversity of Helsinki residents is emphasised when distributing the grants.
Registered associations and foundations that have been active for at least one year and whose activities promote the employment opportunities of Helsinki-based unemployed jobseekers can apply for the employment grant. Applications for the grant can be submitted via the City of Helsinki's e-service(Link leads to external service) .
The City has budgeted at least €300,000 for employment grants in 2026. New grant categories will be introduced in the grant application process:
- under €10,000
- over €10,000 but under €50,000
- over €50,000.
The employment grants for 2026 are awarded by the Managing Director of the City of Helsinki Employment Services Enterprise.
