The "Sockis" daycare center offers early childhood education for children aged 1-5 and is conveniently located near good public transport connections.

At Sockis, we collaborate across group boundaries and use our spaces flexibly. We strive to offer a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child feels important, welcome, and involved in their daily life.
Daycare center Sockenstugan forms a joint early childhood education unit together with daycare centers Lasse-Maija and Malmgård, as well as the Malmgård preschool. The unit director is Linnea Uggeldahl (09 31039080, linnea.uggeldahl@hel.fi) and the assistant director is Linda Mattsson-Autio (09 310 26787, linda.mattsson-autio@hel.fi).

Please call on Tuesdays between 9:00 and 12:00, which is the designated phone time for the service advisor for Swedish-language early childhood education. This number also handles general inquiries about early childhood education applications in Finnish (Mon-Wed and Fri 9:00-12:00; Thu 9:00-11:00). - The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door requires the use of a door phone, opening automatically.
In the facility
- The customer service point has two floors.
- For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens with an access control key. The floor numbers in the lift cannot be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
