We lease out sales spots for public holidays and urban events.
A seasonal sales spot is intended for the sales of goods and foodstuffs. The lease period of a seasonal sales spot is usually 1 or 2 days. More long-term lease periods are possible during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

What can you sell in a seasonal sales spot and where?
The products to be sold depend on the sales spot and the season. Check the list below to see what you can sell in the different sales spots. Selling goods (such as items, sweets, packaged foods) is allowed in all seasons. Food preparation spots can only be leased on May Day and the Night of the Arts.
- Keskuskatu (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation; sales only from a vending stall in the Christmas season, only one 10 m2 vending stall per vendor in the Christmas season
- Narinkkatori marketplace (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation
- Heikkilänaukio plaza, Lauttasaari (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation
- Ruoholahdentori marketplace (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation
- Kolmen sepän aukio plaza, Christmas season (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation; sales only from a vending stall, only one 10 m2 vending stall per vendor in the Christmas season
- Kolmen sepän aukio plaza, other seasons outside Christmas season (PDF, in Finnish): no food preparation
- Hesperia Park (PDF, in Finnish): sales of goods and food preparation spots, sales only on May Day and the Night of the Arts
- Kaivopuisto Park (PDF, in Finnish): food preparation spots have been reserved for Helsinki-based associations. Sales spots for sweets are open to apply for all associations and entrepreneurs. Sales are only allowed on May Day.
Good to know about seasonal sales spots
- The application period for the Christmas season’s sales spots of Kolmen sepän aukio plaza and Keskuskatu ends at the end of June preceding the season. If any Christmas season’s sales spots are free after this, you can also apply for them later.
- The lease for a seasonal sales spot is €50 per day per every starting 10 m² + VAT, see the price list (PDF in Finnish) for more details.
- Seasonal sales spots may be used for sales operations from 7.00 to 22.00, with the exceptions of May Day eve (10.00–24.00), May Day (7.00–18.00) and the Night of the Arts (7.00–24.00).
- Only vending stalls may be used for sales operations on Kolmen sepän aukio plaza and in Keskuskatu in the Christmas season. Request approval from the Urban Environment Division’s Land Use department for the model of your vending stall when applying for a sales spot. The vending stall may also require an action permit from Building Control Services.
- A seasonal sales spot may not be subleased.
