Like every spring, the floating pedestrian bridge leading to Uunisaari will be taken away for the summer to make way for water transport on Monday 15 April 2024.
The floating bridge will remain in pedestrian use until Sunday 14 April. Aava Lines Oy will start operating between Merisatama, Liuskaluoto and Uunisaari on Monday 15 April at 12.00.

Uunisaari, which is located just off the coast of Kaivopuisto, consists of two connected islands, a northern one and a southern one, with a total area of approximately three hectares. Uunisaari is also connected by a pedestrian bridge to the neighbouring Liuskasaari.
There is also a restaurant called Restaurant Uunisaari on the island.
