Important notice for people with diabetes who use FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors

The device manufacturer Abbott has identified that some FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors may give incorrect low glucose readings. These sensors have been distributed to people living with diabetes.

The device manufacturer Abbott has identified that some FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors may give incorrect low glucose readings. These sensors have been distributed to people living with diabetes.

You can check whether the issue affects your sensor at www.FreeStyleCheck.com(Link leads to external service) . To do this, you will need the sensor’s serial number, which can be found in the app or on the reader. The serial number is also printed on the bottom of the sensor applicator and the sensor packaging.

If the check shows that your sensor is defective, stop using it immediately and dispose of it. On the checking website, you can leave your contact details for Abbott so that a free replacement product can be sent to you.
