Find out how your lifestyle affects your risk of falling ill

The MedicubeX self-measurement stations and the Omaolo health check now work together. By first taking measurements and then using the same device to complete a health check, you can learn how factors such as your mental well-being and lifestyle influence your life expectancy and risk of illness. The health check provides a comprehensive report on your overall state of health.

The Omaolo health check helps prevent health problems by enabling early detection and intervention. If any health risks are identified, you can send the results directly to your health station, and a healthcare professional will contact you. Completing the health check requires strong identification, such as online banking credentials.

“The measurements and health check allow clients to self-monitor their health. The aim of this reform is to improve illness screening and reduce costs. With the reform, measurement results are automatically linked to the health check, and relevant information is shared with healthcare professionals if needed,” says Medical Director Marja-Liisa Lommi from the City of Helsinki.

“With the addition of MedicubeX measurement results, the Omaolo health check becomes a more comprehensive and accessible tool for health promotion and illness prevention,” adds Digital Services Portfolio Manager Wilma Pietiläinen from DigiFinland Oy.

Before your health check, MedicubeX will measure your blood pressure and heart rate

Before starting your Omaolo health check, MedicubeX measures your blood pressure, heart rate, weight, resting metabolic rate, and heart function. The measurement process takes about 5 minutes.

After completing the measurements, you can carry out the Omaolo health check on the same screen. The full process, including measurements and the health check, takes around 20 minutes.

If you are visiting a doctor’s appointment, we recommend only completing the MedicubeX measurements.

Locations in Kalasatama and Vuosaari

The self-measurement stations are located in the lower lobby of Kalasatama Health and Well-being Centre and the second-floor lobby of the health station services at Vuosaari Health and Well-being Centre. Lobby staff are available to assist you if needed.

Omaolo is an online service by DigiFinland, available at omaolo.fi. MedicubeX self-measurement stations are products of MedicubeX, a partner of the City of Helsinki. Both services work together to support your health and well-being.
