In the survey, you can answer questions relating to the maintenance of streets and parks. You can also provide feedback on things such as planting and lawn maintenance, litter bins, the ease of getting around, and roadworks. At the end of the questionnaire, there is a text field for open comments.
“We want to work with residents to make the city a more pleasant, safer and more functional place,” says Green Space Maintenance Team Manager Anna-Mari Tiitinen-Kairi.
“Residents have previously hoped for such things as more meadows and flowers, and these are requests we have been able to fulfil. This year, we have installed benches in response to requests. We will read all comments and assess the feasibility of implementing the suggestions.”
You can complete the survey together with your child or teenager and consider e.g. whether there are any dangerous spots on the roads or whether there are opportunities to play ball games with friends. The City hopes for plenty of responses from different parts of Helsinki, so that the results would represent all areas as well as possible.
The map-based survey is open from 1 to 25 October 2026. It should take about 5–10 minutes to complete. The survey is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
