City bike season will start on 1 April

City bikes will be back soon! You can use city bikes in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa from 1 April. You can already buy a pass for the entire city bike season. The city bike season will run until the end of October. Use the Journey Planner to see bike stations, number of bikes available and routes to the stations in real-time.

City bikes will be back soon! You can use city bikes in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa from 1 April. You can already buy a pass for the entire city bike season. The city bike season will run until the end of October. Use the Journey Planner to see bike stations, number of bikes available and routes to the stations in real-time.

You can buy passes for city bikes in Helsinki and Espoo on the city bike website. A pass for the entire seven-month cycling season costs EUR 35. Once the season starts, you can also buy passes for shorter periods. The daily and weekly passes cost EUR 5 and EUR 10, respectively. This spring we are introducing an auto-renewing monthly subscription for EUR 7/month.

You can use the city bikes in Helsinki and Espoo in the same way as in previous years. You need an HSL accountto register. You can register at hsl.fi/en/citybikes(Link leads to external service)

The snowy winter has posed challenges for the installation of stations, and some stations will not be installed by 1 April. However, the aim is to have all stations in place by the end of April. You can see the operational stations on the city bike website and on the Journey Planner. 

The city bike network includes nearly 4,600 bikes in Helsinki and Espoo. There are 347 bike stations in Helsinki and 110 in Espoo. In Vantaa, there are 1,000 bikes and 120 bike stations.
