Heka's special apartments

You can also submit a housing application to apply for Heka's special apartments, which are available in different parts of Helsinki. Find out more about the apartments and the tenant selection criteria on this page.

Heka’s rental apartments also include a number of special apartments for artists, those who work from home and seniors. You can apply for a special apartment by indicating in your application that you have a special interest in an artist's apartment, an apartment with a workspace or a senior apartment.

The tenant selection for special apartments is subject to the same selection criteria as other Heka apartments. For the tenant selection for artist’s apartments and apartments with a work space, we ask the applicant to provide us with a CV or other proof of professional activity.

The tenant selection for senior apartments is not subject to income limits. However, priority is given to applicants with the most urgent need for housing, the least wealth and the lowest income.

Heka has 13 artist's apartments, which are suitable for example visual artists, who need a studio residence. Moreover Heka has 14 rental apartments in Kontula artist house with 14 artist studios run by Studio Foundation next to the apartments.
