Playground Sanna is located in the Länsi-Pasila district next to the Keskuspuisto Central Park. The playground's indoor spaces are located on the ground floor of an apartment building by the Maistraatintori square at Pasilan puistotie 8. The outdoor play area is currently being renovated. The new and improved yard designed for children's play will be completed in August 2025 at Maistraatinkatu 2.
The playground is a place where families with babies and children can play, exercise and meet each other around the year either indoors or outdoors. Playground features sandboxes, swings and various climbing frames.
Families with babies and children can meet other families at playgrounds, while children can find new friends to play with. Diverse and free-of-charge guided activities are organised at playgrounds in the mornings.
You can heat your own food and make coffee and tea at the playground. Our activities are free of charge and based on Helsinki's curriculum for early childhood education and care.

The route to the playground area
- There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is within 20 metres.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 5 meters from the playground gate.
- A smooth and sufficiently wide asphalted route leads to the playground gate. The route is illuminated.
Playground area
- The playground is surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence there are tiled walkways. The entire play area is illuminated.
- The playground has an information board that can be accessed by a wheelchair. The information board can also be looked at up close.
- The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller.
- The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a canopy, a climbing frame.
- The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the area. There is a metal fence around the swing area and a bench for an adult nearby. Safety mulch has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child, a saucer swing.
- The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. Safety sand has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs.
- The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is high enough off the ground to make the sandbox wheelchair accessible. The sandbox features a plank that children can use to reach the sand when lying down on their stomachs. On the edge of the sandbox, there is a sand table with safety sand underneath. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
- The canopy: The entrance to the canopy is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are tables and benches under the canopy which are wheelchair accessible.
- The climbing frame: Safety mulch has been installed under the climbing frame. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
Playground building
- The entrance of the playground building stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.

- The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
- The foyer is cramped.
- The activities take place on the entrance floor.
- The indoor walkways have at least 4 steps, with handrails on right side when going up.
- The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
- The facility has an accessible toilet.
