The route to the playground area

• There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is located over 200 meters from the place.
• Kumpula outdoors swimming pool parkinglot
• The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 5 meters from the playground gate.
• Saattoliikenteellä tarvittaessa pääsy leikkipuistorakennuksen reunalle.
• A smooth and sufficiently wide fine crushed rock or sand route leads to the playground gate. The route is illuminated.
• Leikkipuistoon voi Intiankadun pääsisäänkäynnin lisäksi saapua kävellen Intiankadulta Kumpulan päästä sekä Kumpulan siirtolapuutarhoilta (metsäreitti ei ole esteetön).

Playground area

• The playground has an information board difficult to perceive that can be accessed by a wheelchair. The information board can also be looked at up close.
• Leikkipuistossa on useampi opastaulu, mutta ohjeistus on niissä liian korkealla tai pienellä erottumattomalla tekstillä. Virallinen puistokyltti urheilukentältä leikkialueelle saavuttaessa on kasvillisuuden takana piilossa.
• The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller. Some of the tables and benches have been designed for children's dimensions.
• The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a canopy, a climbing frame, a climbing wall, a wading pool.
• The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the area. There is a bench for an adult near the swings. Safety mulch has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child, a saucer swing.
• The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs.
• The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is too low for wheelchair access. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The canopy: The entrance to the canopy is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are no tables or benches under the canopy.
• The climbing frame: Safety mulch has been installed under the climbing frame. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The climbing wall: Safety sand has been installed under the climbing wall.
• The edges of the wading pool are at ground level. The bottom of the wading pool is smooth. There is a bench for an adult nearby.

Playground building

• The entrance of the playground building stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
• In connection with the entrance, there are 3 consecutive steps.
• The entrance has a ramp under 6 meters long, with handrails on left side when going up.
• The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens easily manually.
• The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
• The activities take place on the entrance floor.
• The doors in the facility stand out clearly.
• The facility has an accessible toilet.
