The route to the playground area

• There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is within 10 metres.
• Leikkipuistolla ei ole omia parkkipaikkapaikkoja, mutta kadunvarsipaikoilta on esteetön kulku leikkipuistoon.
• The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 5 meters from the playground gate.
• A smooth and sufficiently wide asphalted route leads to the playground gate.
• Leikkipuiston pihaan on kaksi porttia, joista toisen portin leveys on alle 1,5 metriä. Leveämmän portin saa auki leikkipuiston sisäpihan puolelta. Leikkipuiston pihaleikkivälineisiin ei ole esteetöntä kulkua. Sisätiloihin tullessa on hyvä huomioida, että ulko-ovella on pieni kynnys ja ulko-ovi on jäykkä. Henkilökunnalta voi tarvittaessa pyytää apua porttien ja ovien avaamiseen.

Playground area

• The playground is surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence there are asphalt-surfaced walkways. The entire play area is illuminated.
• The playground has an information board that can be accessed by a wheelchair. The information board can also be looked at up close.
• The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller.
• The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a climbing frame, a ball wall.
• Leikkipuiston pihaleikkivälineisiin ei ole esteetöntä kulkua. Maasto on paikoittai hankala ja ei sovellu pyörätuolilla kulkevalle.
• The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the area. There is a wood fence around the swing area and a bench for an adult nearby. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child.
• The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. Safety sand has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs.
• The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is high enough off the ground to make the sandbox wheelchair accessible. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The climbing frame: A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the climbing frame.
• The ball wall: The surface in front is lined with artificial turf.

Playground building

• The entrance of the playground building stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
• The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
• The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
• The activities take place on the entrance floor.
• The doors in the facility stand out clearly.
• The facility has a toilet marked as accessible. It does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair.
