Many key parks were improved
The multi-year renovation of Kaisaniemi Park progressed, with completed areas opened to the public during the year. The summer saw the opening of the entrance area of the Botanic Garden, which features impressive plantings, while the end of the year saw the opening of the Baana section adjacent to the park, running from the Kaisantunneli underpass to the north by the railway line. Meanwhile, the extensive renovation of Sibelius Park was completed with the opening of the eastern half. The western side of the park was completed in 2024.
In Sörnäinen, the renovation of Katri Vala Park was completed, and the park now features Finland's highest piece of climbing play equipment. In Vallila, the renovation of Vallilanpuisto Park was completed ahead of schedule.
