The autumn of the Advisory Board for Organisations starts with a new composition

The Advisory Board for Organisations acts as the voice of organisations

The Advisory Board for Organisations is tasked with ensuring the participation and influencing opportunities of organisations in Helsinki and highlighting their perspective through proposals, statements and opinions. The members of the Advisory Board for Organisations are also involved in cooperation on wellbeing and health promotion.

During the 2023–2025 term, the Advisory Board contributed to the development of grant practices and guidelines and commented on the space needs of organisations.

The Advisory Board for Organisations is made up of 14 representatives of different organisations and five elected representatives. Its meetings are also attended by the City's experts on cooperation with organisations. The Advisory Board's organisation members cover the field of Helsinki's organisations and civic society in a balanced way.

Half of the Advisory Board’s organisation members are changing for the new term, as in order to promote participation and transparency and strengthen cooperation networks, each member and organisation can only serve two consecutive terms on the Advisory Board.

Sini Toivonen (National Coalition Party) was appointed as the new chairperson of the Advisory Board for Organisations.

Follow the activities of the Advisory Board for Organisations

The Advisory Board for Organisations convenes four times a year. Each autumn, it also organises Kumppanuustori (‘Partnership Market’), an open event for organisations that all Helsinki-based organisations are welcome to attend. Some of the organisation groups meet before the Advisory Board’s meeting to gather views on the issues to be discussed.
