Start using Omaposti and Kivra – accept receiving digital messages in Maisa

If you want to receive letters and messages from Helsinki's social and health care services electronically, accept the receipt of digital messages in Maisa. If you do not want to or cannot receive digital messages, you will continue to receive messages related to treatment, services and invoicing by post as paper letters.

If you are already using a digital mail service (Omaposti, Kivra), you will not receive letters on paper as a rule. If you use the Maisa customer portal and want to receive digital messages directly in Maisa in the future, do the following:

  • select the "Mail" option to disable in the settings
  • in your browser, select Notification settings > General, or
  • On mobile Account settings > Notifications > Communication options
  • enable Maisa's push notifications so that new messages become a trigger and you don't accidentally miss them.

After this, you will receive messages related to treatment, services or invoicing in Maisa, Omaposti and, if you have enabled it, also in Kivra. It's a good idea to check what services you're using and keep track of them so that you can see when messages arrive.

With regard to letter mail concerning social welfare and health care services, the transition will take place in two stages. Now, first, Omaposti and Kivra were introduced, and later this year, suomi.fi communications.
