Health stations

Health stations are closed on 30 April and 1 May. Health stations are open as usual on Tuesday 2 May.

Information is provided about Helsinki’s health services and treatment instructions 24 hours a day at the cost of a regular phone call.  

Urgent and emergency care

If you need urgent care during the May Day weekend, go to omaolo.fi(Link leads to external service) to make a symptom assessment first. Omaolo provides health advice 24/7 and, if needed, puts you in contact with a professional. You can also call the Medical Helpline, tel. 116117 (24/7). Always call in advance before seeking treatment at the emergency department.

When local health stations are closed, residents of Helsinki with serious illnesses and those in urgent need of care can also go to the Jorvi Hospital emergency room in Espoo, Turuntie 150 or to the Peijas Hospital emergency room in Vantaa, Sairaalakatu 1.

Emergency dental care

Emergency dental care is provided on 30 April and 1 May from 9.0021.00 at Park Hospital, Stenbäckinkatu 11, door C. Appointments can be booked from 8.0021.00 at +358 9 471 71110. Night-time emergency duty is at Meilahti Emergency Department, Haartmaninkatu 4,  tel. 116 117. Please always call us in advance to schedule an appointment before seeking treatment for emergency dental care.
