When you have an appointment at, for instance, the City’s health station, maternity and child health clinic, dental clinic or physiotherapy clinic, you must check in at the service point upon arrival. You can do this independently in Maisa or at a self-service kiosk. Alternatively, you can check in with the staff at the service point. Check in only for the appointments you have booked in advance.
New self-service kiosks will be rolled out at service points in stages during autumn 2026. Autonomous check-in for booked appointments is being introduced widely across Helsinki’s health care and social welfare services as part of the development of digital services.
Which services require checking in?
Please check in if you have a booked appointment
- at a dental clinic
- at a health station
- at a maternity and child health clinic
- at a physiotherapy practice
- at a podiatry practice
- at a wound clinic
- to see a mental health and substance abuse nurse.
Where are self-service kiosks located?
At most service points, the self-service kiosks are located right by the entrance. At large service points, such as Kalasatama Well-being Centre, there are self-service kiosks on every floor, next to the lifts and stairs.
