The renovation will restore the original appearance and features of the park. Most of the existing plants in the area will be preserved. Old fixtures and stone borders will be refurbished and recycled, and recycled substrates will be used in a sustainable way.
The safety of the park will be improved by, among other things, removing and renewing vegetation that is too overgrown in places and obstructs visibility.
More versatile park activities
The field in the middle of the park will be developed as an event space. For example, bleachers will be installed on the field and space will be reserved for a stage to be built later.
You can borrow games from the library and play ping-pong, chess and petanque on the sand field, which is bordered by a pergola. The beds, paving and stone edges of the evergreen garden will be restored, and park instruments will be installed. Sun loungers will be placed on the south side of the garden and a garden swing and wooden horses will be placed in the northern part of the park. Picnic tables and park grills will be added to the rose and perennial garden on the eastern edge of the park.
The plantings will be supplemented with more diverse species and more trees will be planted in the park. Some plantings that obstruct visibility will be cut lower and in some places removed altogether.
