Data-driven planning ensures smooth tourism information services during peak seasons

The resourcing and shift scheduling of the tourist information service is quite a puzzle, which DataLokki can help put together with its collected statistics and data. When the recruitment process begins in spring, we carefully examine the event, cruise and flight data of the upcoming summer so that we can hire people who know the right languages to work at the right time. The data collected by the tourist information service, on the other hand, helps us plan employee trainings so that our employees can be familiarised with the exact matters that tourists ask us about in different service channels. For shift scheduling and the manning of shifts, we use also use statistics and data – in order to have the right kind of and correctly sized resource of employees at the right time to meet tourists.
