Updated Recovery App serves clients better than ever

The Helsinki Recovery App is a free mobile application designed for working-age Helsinki residents and their loved ones who require extensive health and social services. An update to the app was completed earlier this year, making it even smoother to use – especially when it comes to service and organisation information.

Supporting both clients and professionals

Tuula Samulin, who has been involved in developing the app, uses it regularly both in her role as an expert by experience and as a client of health and social services.

“During appointments, I tell nearly all of my clients about the Recovery App. I use it to help them find information about things like their illness or financial challenges. Almost without exception, my clients have responded positively and shown interest in the app’s features. The section on third-sector services, in particular, has been very well received,” Tuula says.

“Personally, I use a lot of recovery tools in my own life and look for information on third-sector services, for example. The best part is that all the information is in one place – I don’t have to navigate the internet jungle to find it,” Tuula explains.

“I tell my clients how I’ve used the app myself and how it’s benefited me. My personal experience has naturally made it easier to introduce the app and its functions. The Recovery App is also a useful tool for professionals in their work,” she concludes.

What can you do with the app?

  • Find information to support recovery, health and wellbeing
  • Search for services and peer support to meet your or your loved one’s needs
  • Monitor your recovery progress and recovery capital
  • Add calendar events related to your recovery
  • Keep a journal, including the option to add photos
