Special Advisers to Helsinki Mayors appointed

Mayor of Helsinki Daniel Sazonov has two Special Advisers and Deputy Mayors Johanna Laisaari, Reetta Vanhanen, Paavo Arhinmäki and Maarit Vierunen have one Special Adviser each.

The Special Advisers to Mayor Sazonov (NCP) are Jeremias Nurmela and Eemil Nuuttila, the latter of whom will serve through the summer.

The Special Adviser to Deputy Mayor for Urban Environment Johanna Laisaari (SDP) is Rosamari Rissanen, the Special Adviser to Deputy Mayor for Education Reetta Vanhanen (Greens) is Julianna Kentala, and the Special Adviser to Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure Paavo Arhinmäki (Left) is Minna Majaniemi. The Special Adviser to Maarit Vierunen (NCP) until the end of summer is Alexis Vartiainen, after which Jaana Kouvalainen takes over the role.

The Mayor and the Deputy Mayors select their Special Advisers at the beginning of their term and determine their duties in more detail. Their most important duties include assisting with various events, communications and contact with the public.
