At its meeting on 25 September 2025, the Youth Sub-committee of the Culture and Leisure Committee decided on a new annual award. The ‘Youth work action of the year’ award is given for an act, activity or project carried out during the previous year that has had a meaningful and particularly positive impact on the lives, conditions or living environment of young people in Helsinki. The recipient can be a Helsinki-based association, group or private individual.
What do you think was the most important or impactful youth work action in 2025? Submit your proposal by using the form below between 27 April and 11 May 2026. The winner will be chosen by the Youth Sub-committee of the Culture and Leisure Committee based on submitted proposals. The award of €5,000 will be presented during the national Youth Work Week in October.
