Nets on popular climbing frame in front of Oodi to be replaced

We will replace the nets on Makasiinipuisto Park’s climbing frame, which is the largest of its kind in Finland. We will remove the current nets in December, and the climbing frame will then be out of service for several months.

The climbing frame has been enormously popular, and the nets have become worn due to use.

We will replace the nets in winter, when the climbing frame is likely to have fewer users. We will install the new nets on the climbing frame by spring 2026. If cold spells continue well into the spring, it may delay the installation of the nets. We will install the new nets as soon as possible.

The climbing frame is manufactured by the Lappset Group. The park was designed by landscape architecture firm Näkymä Oy. Makasiinipuisto Park was completed in 2019. The refurbished climbing frame will be back in service for younger and older climbers alike in the first half of 2026.
