In Jollas, a new nature conservation area is being established

The City of Helsinki Environmental Services is preparing to establish a new nature reserve in Furuvik, Jollas. A management and use plan for the area will also be drawn up. The aim is to submit the proposal for the establishment of the area and the management and use plan to decision-making by the City in late autumn.

Online event on Monday 20 October 2025 at 17.30–19.00

During the online event, an expert from the consultancy company Sitowise, who drafted the management and use plan, will present the plan and answer questions from participants together with Environmental Specialist Jere Salminen from the City of Helsinki. Questions and comments can also be submitted during the event via the Teams chat function and before the event by email to Jere Salminen jere.salminen@hel.fi(Link opens default mail program) .

Written comments on the management and use plan can be submitted until Tuesday, 28 October at 10.00.
