You can now apply for a small grant for the promotion of welfare and health

The City of Helsinki has launched a new application round for small grants to promote the welfare and health of Helsinki residents. The application period has begun, and the City will award grants until the allocated funds run out or until the end of the year.

The small grant for the promotion of welfare and health is a new form of grant that can be used to support associations or activity groups in their work to promote welfare. This means that the applicant does not necessarily have to be a registered organisation.

The maximum amount of the small grant is EUR 3,000, and you can apply for it easily without any supporting documents, such as the association’s financial information or action plan.  The City will accept applications for small grants from 11 August onwards, until the allocated funds run out or until the end of the year.

Grants may be awarded for activities that seek to reduce disparities in health and welfare, prevent social exclusion and promote participation. Small grants may be also allocated for supporting new and starting projects and activities or one-off short-term projects. The City will make grant decisions based on the order in which applications are received, and the grant must be used during 2025.
