Pukinmäki Library is preparing to move to new temporary premises. The library will be open in its current premises for the last time on Saturday 14 November. The library will move out of its current location due to the renovation of Pukinmäenkaari Comprehensive School, and the premises must be vacated by the end of the year.
The tenancy agreement for the temporary premises will come into effect at the start of 2027. Before the library opens, the premises will be renovated and furnished for the library. The aim is for the library to be able to open its doors in the temporary premises in February. Initially, the opening hours and services of the library will be limited. Further details regarding the exact opening date will be announced later on.
The new library will be located at Eskolankaari 2, on the fourth floor of the S-Market Pukinmäki building, right next to Pukinmäki railway station. The Pukinmäki Youth Centre will also be moving to the new temporary premises alongside the library. The temporary premises are expected to be in use for around seven years.
Library services during the closure
During the closure, the mobile library will stop in Pukinmäki every other Thursday at 15.00 from 12 November onwards. The mobile library stop is located next to Daycare Nuotti at Pieksupolku 5. The Malmi and Oulunkylä Libraries are the closest available libraries to the Pukinmäki area.
