Kallio Block Party will take place in Kallio on Saturday 2 August 2025 from 12.00 to 22.00. Exceptional traffic arrangements will start at 7.00 on Saturday morning and end at 1.30 the following night. The streets of the event area will be closed from 8.00 to 1.00.
Pedestrians can access the festival area freely. The exceptional arrangements will apply to other modes of transport as follows:
Motor vehicles
Motor vehicles must be removed in advance from areas marked with signs requesting vehicle owners to move their parked vehicles. Removal requests will be in force on Eläintarhantie, Ensi linja, Toinen linja, Alppikatu, Wallininkatu, Castréninkatu and Suonionkatu.
On the day of the event, these street sections will be closed to motorised traffic. Only service vehicles and access to the properties in the area will be allowed through the roadblocks.
Bicycles
Cycling will be prohibited in the aforementioned street sections during the event.
Cycling will also be restricted on the cycling lanes on the south and west side of Eläintarhantie in accordance with the density of the crowd. In this area, cyclists must be prepared to find an alternative route or to walk their bikes.
Public transport
Tram 7B and bus 502 will operate on alternative routes.
Tram 7B will run in Kallio on Saturday from 7.00 onwards from Sörnäinen to Kallio Office Building, from where it will take an alternative route via Karhupuisto Park and Helsinginkatu back to Sörnäinen. The tram will skip the section between Kallio Office Building and Ensi linja and the route from Kallio Office Building via Hämeentie to Sörnäinen. The arrangement will be in place until 1.30.
Bus 502 will not run between Kallio Office Building and Alppikatu.
