The City of Helsinki is organising an open discussion event about Itis Symppis on 28 February at 17.00–18.30. The event will take place in the Iiris Centre at Marjaniementie 74. The Iiris Centre is located next to Itäkeskus shopping centre. The venue is accessible.

The event topics include the services offered by Symppis, the cleanliness and safety of the surrounding area, neighbourhood work, and the alterations of the Symppis premises. The event will be in Finnish. Interpreters for English and Arabic will be present.

Symppis will have access to the premises on Kajaaninlinnantie for two years, approximately. During this time, permanent premises will be sought for Symppis in East Helsinki.

The event at Iiris Centre is open to all. We would like to invite residents and operators from the area surrounding the new Symppis premises, in particular.

Itis Symppis is a low-threshold day centre that offers health and social counselling for customers dealing with substance abuse. Helsinki has two other Symppis centres, in Kontula and Sörnäinen.
