Laajasalo Health Station has administered COVID-19 vaccines with potentially reduced effectiveness to a total of 27 clients between 12 December 2025 and 13 January 2026. Due to human error, the health station has administered some vaccines after their expiration date.
A vaccine with reduced effectiveness does not provide full vaccine protection, but it is not otherwise harmful or dangerous.
We will contact each client concerned personally. If you are one of the clients who has received a vaccine with reduced effectiveness, we will offer you a new dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The total number of clients who have received the COVID-19 vaccine during the current vaccination period is more than 2,700 at Laajasalo Health Station. The COVID-19 situation is currently calm.
We previously reported that vaccines with potentially reduced effectiveness had been administered to 60 patients at Oulunkylä Health Station between 2 December 2025 and 7 January 2026. We have reviewed the situation across all health stations, and no other similar cases have come to our attention.
