The junction of Vanha Talvitie and Kyläsaarenkatu will be taken out of use on 1 October.
A new residential area will be built in Hermanninranta, providing housing and services for around 5,500 residents. Preconstruction is now underway in the southern part of Hermanninranta and the northern part of Verkkosaari. Municipal infrastructure such as water pipes, sewers, district heating and cooling, lighting and network cables will be built in the area. Preconstruction also includes the construction of the structural layers of streets.
The preconstruction work will continue until the summer of 2027, after which the construction of buildings on the site can begin. The contractor for the preconstruction phase is Louhintahiekka Oy.
