Apply for the price change transition grant by 26 June

Sports Services are revising the facilities price list, and the new prices will come into force in June. With the reform, all sports facilities and school sports halls have been uniformly classified into five categories and the use of facilities will be priced according to harmonised principles. The changes will increase the costs of using the premises for some sports clubs.

Sports Services will support sports operators in their transition with a one-off transition grant. Clubs and associations whose costs will rise as a result of the reform will be eligible for a price change transition grant this year. The grant will give associations organising sports activities more time to adapt to changes and make changes to their own operations.

Apply for the grant in the grant application Service

The application period for the price change transition grant is 1 May–26 June 2026, and the grant is applied for in the sports grant application service.

The grant is intended for associations in Helsinki that have used the sports facilities of the City of Helsinki Sports Services or the sports facilities of City of Helsinki schools or daycare centres during 2025. The amount of the grant is based on an estimated cost increase of associations following the changes brought about by the price reform. The estimate is calculated based on an applicant's facility use in 2025.

New Sports Services’ facility reservation price list valid from 1 June onwards

The price list for sports facilities will be revised from the beginning of June. The aim of the reform is to take better account of differences in the size, equipment and quality of the facilities. In the future, users will have better opportunities to choose the options that suit their activities.

Following the price list reform, no grants will be granted for the use of school sports halls, as is the case for sports facilities owned by the Sports Services.
