Extensive renovation to be completed in stages
The property, originally built in the early 1970s, is currently undergoing a major renovation, and the first buildings will be completed in April 2026. The entire renovation project will be finalized in several phases by spring 2027. All apartments will be refurbished to new standards. At the same time, the facades, yard areas and shared facilities will be upgraded, and the buildings’ energy efficiency and accessibility will be improved. The shared facilities at the location, such as a club room, two free laundry rooms with drying rooms, several saunas, children's playgrounds and various storage facilities, bring comfort and community to everyday life.
The bright and easily decorated apartments have low-maintenance vinyl plank floors. The kitchens are equipped with white appliances – a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, oven, stove, and range hood are included as standard. In addition, the kitchens have space for a microwave. The bathrooms are finished with practical ceramic tiles. The energy efficiency of the buildings has been taken into account: the buildings have geothermal heating and solar panels on the roofs.
Kontulankaari 24 is located close to services and good transport connections. For families with children, there are several playgrounds, daycare centers, and a primary school in the area. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers Kontula Sports Park and the neighboring Kiinalaispuisto and Mustikkamäki park areas.
