What benefits does Helsingin tekijät network offer its members?
Three high-quality network meetings are arranged for the network each year. The meetings will include expert presentations, the exchange of topical information, training, workshops and networking opportunities with a diverse network. In addition to network meetings, members of the network can participate in morning coffee meetings via Teams every other Wednesday. These morning meetings will cover a wide range of topics and content and provide network partners the opportunity to present their offerings.
Within the network, there are 11 thematic groups, which are able to delve into sectoral content and promote concrete actions, as well as peer learning and knowledge sharing. As a rule, the thematic groups meet about twice a year.
In addition to these, network partners are invited to the annual Helsinki Travel Seminar, which brings together the entire tourism industry.
The network has its own digital workspace, which is the main communication channel for the network. It enables, for example, the sharing of up-to-date information and materials by partners and the City organisation, networking and workshops. The workspace also serves as a platform for current statistics and research on tourism and events.
The network partners are given priority in Helsinki's international B2B sales and marketing initiatives, as well as in the planning of programmes for visits by international tour operators, media personnel and influencers. In addition, the materials for promoting and marketing Helsinki internationally will also be made available for use by the network.
Network members have the possibility to agree a company-specific sparring session with experts from City of Helsinki on a selected topic.
The network has access to the most up-to-date information on the tourism, events and hospitality sectors, as well as the latest statistics and research on tourism and events. All partners have access to the extensive data available in DataLokki – Helsinki Destination Insights.(Link leads to external service) DataLokki provides up-to-date tourism and events statistics and research, such as data on major events, flight and cruise booking forecasts, and tourism industry statistics, such as visitor numbers to Helsinki's main attractions, accommodation and mobility statistics.
Training and workshops for network partners to develop their own activities are also arranged. During the year, several visits to the sites and services of the network's partners will be organised to raise awareness, familiarise operators with each other’s work and network, and create new opportunities for cooperation.
The network is given priority in participating and influencing the development measures of tourism and events in Helsinki, for example in utilising new tools, trainings and workshops.
Possibility for brochure visibility at the Tourist Information point and visibility in Tourist Information’s digital channels. In order to promote the ability to give recommendations, the members have the possibility to familiarise the Tourist Information staff with the service/product of their own businesses.
