Crisis emergency professionals advise and direct those in need to other support services, depending on the situation.

Adults and children react to shocking events differently; some have strong reactions, and others respond more mildly. Reacting to shocking events is normal, and feelings usually ease over time. Recovery typically progresses in waves, and your emotions will gradually become more manageable.

Parents are the best source of support and safety for their children. You can turn to Crisis Emergency Services if you need guidance on discussing shocking events with your child.
