Autumn 2026 matriculation examination tests take place between 14 and 30 September. The test organised in this examination round include the tests in mother tongue and literature, humanities and natural sciences, mathematics, second foreign language and foreign language tests.
Test dates for autumn 2026
- Mon 14 September: Literacy test of mother tongue and literature (Finnish or Swedish)
- Wed 16 September: Religion, culture, worldviews and ethics; Social studies; Chemistry; Geography; Health education
- Fri 18 September: Foreign language, advanced syllabus
- Mon 21 September; Second national language (Finnish or Swedish), advanced and intermediate syllabus
- Tue 22 September; Psychology; Philosophy; History; Physics; Biology
- Thu 24 September: Mathematics, advanced and basic syllabus
- Fri 25 September: Written proficiency test of mother tongue and literature; Finnish or Swedish as a second language and literature
- Mon 28 September; Foreign language, basic syllabus
- Wed 30 September; Sami as a mother tongue and literature
The test results will be sent to the general upper secondary schools on 12 November 2026.
