The annual Baltic Herring fair will take place in October at the Helsinki Market Square. The fishermen working on the Baltic Sea will bring to the Market both traditional salted herring and delicious herring marinades as well as traditional handicrafts and the famous dark bread of the archipelago. The Herring market has been organized since 1743. The winners of the fair´s best Baltic Herring products are announced on the opening day 6.10. on the main stage at 16.
