You can call the City of Helsinki Coronavirus Helpline also at weekends from Saturday 15 August. The service hours during weekdays were expanded as of Monday 17 August.
The helpline is available every day of the week 8–18 from 15 August.
We recommend first completing the symptom assessment at omaolo.fi, which is the easiest way to access a coronavirus test. The online assessment will also provide you with the option to make an appointment for a test directly.
The Coronavirus Helpline telephone number is 09 310 10024. Callers will be referred for a coronavirus test, when necessary.
If the Coronavirus Helpline is closed and you have mild symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection, please wait until the following day. If you cannot wait for the Helpline to open, or you need assistance with another urgent health concern, you can contact the Medical Helpline, tel. 116117.
The symptoms indicating a coronavirus infection include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, muscle pain, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose, nausea, diarrhoea, and loss of sense of taste or smell.
“We are expanding the service hours of the Helpline, because we want to provide the residents of Helsinki with better access to tests. Do not hesitate to come in for testing if you have symptoms,” says Medical Director of Health Stations Timo Lukkarinen.
“At the same time, we want the Medical Helpline to be more readily available to customers who need help urgently,” Lukkarinen continues.
