Discounts on autumn sport and leisure activities for those affected by spring cancellations

The City of Helsinki has decided to extend a 50% discount on municipal course and event fees next autumn to participants in cultural events and fitness activities this spring that were cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The validity of 120-day season passes, monthly cards and multi-visit cards at the City of Helsinki’s sports service swimming halls and fitness centres, as well as the Urheiluhallit chain of indoor sports centres will also be extended for the amount of time that the facilities were closed.

Ticketholders to events that were scheduled to take place in cultural centres and later cancelled can seek a refund directly from the agency that issued the ticket (e.g. Lippupiste). Consult the website of the cultural centre in question for more details and instructions. Refunds will cover the cost of the ticket only, not service or delivery fees. Tickets for events that will be rescheduled to a later date remain valid. New event dates will be confirmed at a later time.

Those registered for courses offering swimming lessons that hadn’t yet started or had only met once before the swimming halls were closed will be able to attend an equivalent course in the autumn.
