The coronavirus helpline in Somali and Arabic is available at tel. 09 310 10011, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Callers may ask for advice on, for example, how to protect against the coronavirus, the coronavirus tests and the vaccinations.
The calls are answered in Somali and Arabic by advisors who work at the city of Helsinki’s information service Helsinki-Info.
— By providing the coronavirus helpline in foreign languages, we want to reach out to people who may not be reached by means of written communications on the web or paper. At the coronavirus helpline, we offer an easier way to ask for advice. We want to reach out to the customers who are currently unable to reach at our coronavirus information desk, says project manager Minttu Lepänaho.
The coronavirus helpline at the city’s social and health care division provides advice in Finnish, Swedish and English, tel. 09 310 10024. This telephone service is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The telephone service is meant for city residents who feel that they have been exposed to the coronavirus or who believe that they have been infected due to the symptoms they are experiencing. You can also call the number if you worry about a relative's symptoms or exposure to the virus.
