Flow Festival in Suvilahti 9–11 August

The three-day Flow Festival is a major music, food and art event that fills the historic Suvilahti power station area for 9–11 August. The festival programme is a rich package of popular culture and experimental art. The extensive music and art programme, the high-quality catering, the captivating festival grounds and the extensive responsibility agenda of the festival have earned Flow a place on the high-ranking European festival scene.

Flow Festival features more than 170 artists. The names announced include Solange, The Cure, Tame Impala, Erykah Badu, Robyn, James Blake, Father John Misty, Tove Lo, Earl Sweatshirt, Neneh Cherry, Blood Orange, Seinabo Sey and Big Thief.

For the festival days, pedestrians and cyclists are rerouted to a detour that passes under the Kalasatama Metro station and runs on Lautatarhankatu and Sörnäisten rantatie. The routes next to the Helen power station and between Suvilahti and Itäväylä are closed.

Because of the festival construction and the removal of structures, Parrukatu is closed for traffic 29 July–16 August 2019.

The Metro extends service by 2 hours on the festival nights of 9–10 August and 10–11 August. The Metro runs every 10 minutes between Tapiola and Itäkeskus and every 20 minutes to Matinkylä, Vuosaari and Mellunmäki.

All additional service, timetables and routes can be found in the Journey Planner.
