Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia and EVTEK University of Applied Sciences will be merging into a new higher education institute called Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences which will begin operations on 1 August 2008. The shareholders in the company in charge of the new higher education institute consist of the capital region cities - Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen - and the municipality of Kirkkonummi. The higher education institute will have four fields of study: technology, health care and social services, economics and business administration, and culture, all of which will provide teaching also in English.
