London-based magazine Monocle has placed Helsinki in 6th place among world cities in its quality-of-life survey. Munich took the top slot, followed by Copenhagen, Zurich, Tokyo and Vienna. Monocle says that its focus in the survey was ?firmly fixed on identifying the components and forces that make a city not simply attractive or wealthy but truly liveable?. The survey was based 50/50 on both hard data and subjective impressions. Helsinki News 2/07 (.pdf)
