The symbol of Metropolia symbolizes growth and advancement, an upward movement. Metropolia´s visual identity has been designed by Juha Pohjola from DesignConcept Ltd. Metropolia will be launched to the media at the Studia fair, which will take place in Helsinki Fair Centre from 24th to 25th of October. EVTEK and Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia will be merging into a new higher education institute called Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, which will begin operations on 1 August 2008.
