Development suggested for foreign-language teaching
A joint task force of the educational systems of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen suggests that comprehensive-level education targeting international families be developed. The Helsinki area is facing rapid internalisation, and the demand for foreign-language educational services is increasing. It has been recommended to support the internationalisation process by offering education for children of families that move permanently or temporarily to the area, either in the native language of the children or in another language that is appropriate from the perspective of the family in question.
