The financial statements show that the City?s economy improved as compared with the previous year. However, the economy is not yet in balance. The financial statements of the year 2006 show a surplus of 228 Million euros. The factors contributing to the surplus of the financial period were mostly the good results of the public utilities, Helsinki Energy in particular.
