Library use remained close to level of last year: 6.3 million visits and 9.6 million loans were registered. The number of virtual visits grew by a fifth and has already passed 6 million. The brisk progress of a number of projects was characteristic for 2006: the main library reopened after renovation, the customer service areas in several libraries were refurbished and the online services were improved.
