Helsinki is expecting approximately 21 000 participants from over 50 countries for the 15th World Gymnaestrada 2015 in July.
The World Gymnaestrada is a world-wide, non-competitive FIG Gymnastics for All event, organised every four years. 15th World Gymnaestrada 2015 Helsinki is in terms of international participants the largest event ever held in Finland.
Helsinki is expecting approximately 21 000 participants from over 50 countries in 5 different continents. The biggest delegation is the Finnish one with 4000 participants. More than 3500 volunteers will participate in organizing the event.
The participants and the audience will gather to the Olympic Stadium for the Opening Ceremony on 12th of July. During seven days the event will offer in total over 200 hours of gymnastics performances in 15 different arenas and over 200 city performances around Helsinki.
