Assessments of the need of occupational therapy for children aged 3 to 6 are performed in the Kallio Family Centre. Children’s ability to function in daily life and the various areas of related skills and capabilities, such as gross and fine motor skills, visual perception and processing of sensory data, are studied in an assessment of the need of occupational therapy.
How can the service be applied for?
Admission to the service requires a referral. A therapist will contact the client for booking an appointment. Appointments can be cancelled by calling the therapist, if necessary. The number will be provided when the appointment is booked.
Two occupational therapists for children work at the Kallio Family Centre. The reception room is located on the 2nd floor. Assessments of the need of occupational therapy are primarily performed between 8 and 16.
